At APO-NorCal, our strength begins with our members.

As a mutual benefit organization, we are committed to fostering lifelong brotherhood and sisterhood, camaraderie, fellowship, leadership development, and mutual support among our members. We create opportunities to reconnect, build lasting friendships, develop future leaders, and strengthen the bonds that unite us through our shared values of Leadership, Friendship, and Service.

At the same time, we believe that the strength of our fellowship carries with it a responsibility to serve. Together, our members extend that spirit beyond our organization through community service, humanitarian missions, and outreach programs in Northern California, the Philippines, and other communities in need.

Strengthening Brotherhood & Camaraderie

APO-NorCal provides a community where members can stay connected, support one another, and continue the fellowship that has always been at the heart of Alpha Phi Omega.

Throughout the year, we bring members together through:

• General membership meetings and fellowship gatherings

• Picnics, recreational activities, and family events

• Dinner dances, anniversaries, and special celebrations

• Opportunities to reconnect with fellow brothers and sisters

• Activities that encourage camaraderie, friendship, and mutual support

 

These gatherings are more than social events. They strengthen relationships, preserve our traditions, welcome new members into our community, and help build a lasting sense of belonging.

Developing Leaders Through Involvement

 

Leadership does not end after our collegiate years. APO-NorCal provides members with opportunities to continue developing and sharing their leadership skills through active participation in the organization.

​

Members are encouraged to serve as officers, committee chairs, project leaders, mentors, volunteers, and advisers. By working together, members gain valuable experience in organizing events, leading teams, managing projects, communicating effectively, and making decisions for the benefit of the organization and the communities we serve.

​

We also believe in developing the next generation of leaders by encouraging experienced members to mentor others and by creating opportunities for every member to contribute their talents and ideas.

​

Service: Turning Fellowship Into Action

 

Service remains an important part of who we are. Our members—professionals, community advocates, families, and servant-leaders—come together to make a meaningful difference through projects such as:

​

• Supporting medical and dental missions in the Philippines

• Organizing local service projects benefiting families and communities in need

• Providing financial assistance for humanitarian and disaster-relief efforts

• Participating in community clean-ups and environmental projects in Northern California

• Supporting educational, nutritional, and community development initiatives

 

Our service projects allow members to work side by side, strengthening fellowship while putting our shared values into action.

Humanitarian Missions: Serving Beyond Our Borders

 

APO-NorCal's commitment to service reaches beyond Northern California.

Through humanitarian missions, partnerships, and member-supported initiatives, we help provide healthcare, educational assistance, food, relief goods, and other resources to communities in need.

​

Our members often contribute not only their time and skills, but also their personal resources to make these missions possible. Through these efforts, we build lasting relationships with partner communities while strengthening the spirit of cooperation and service among our members.

Building a Culture of Fellowship and Service

 

We believe strong organizations are built through meaningful relationships, shared experiences, and opportunities to serve together.

That is why we encourage members and their families to participate in our activities—from fellowship gatherings and leadership opportunities to community service and humanitarian missions.

Each activity gives us another opportunity to strengthen our bonds, welcome new members, develop leaders, and pass forward the traditions and values that have connected generations of Alpha Phi Omega members.

Annual Dinner Dance: Celebrating Fellowship With Purpose

 

Our Annual Dinner Dance is one of APO-NorCal's signature gatherings—a celebration of brotherhood, sisterhood, friendship, fellowship, and our shared commitment to service.

It is an opportunity to:

• Reconnect with brothers, sisters, families, and friends

• Celebrate our history, traditions, and accomplishments

• Recognize members, volunteers, and supporters

• Strengthen camaraderie across generations

• Support APO-NorCal's community and humanitarian initiatives

 

More than a fundraising event, it is a celebration of the relationships that sustain our organization and the shared purpose that inspires us to serve.
