Alumni Association of Northern California

Who We Are

The Alpha Phi Omega Alumni Association of Northern California (APO-NorCal) is more than just an alumni group — we're a vibrant, service-driven community united by a shared legacy of leadership, friendship, and service.

Rooted in the brotherhood and sisterhood of Alpha Phi Omega (APO)—an international collegiate service fraternity and sorority—our members hail from all corners of Northern California, from the Peninsula and South Bay to the East Bay and beyond. Over the years, our network has grown far and wide, with members now stretching from Sacramento to out-of-state, proving that no matter where life takes us, the spirit of APO travels with us.

Our journey was ignited by the spirit of APO collegiate chapters in the Philippines, culminating in our official establishment in California on September 18, 1985 as a registered California Mutual Benefit non-profit corporation.

But our impact doesn’t stop there. As one of the six founding members of the Alpha Phi Omega Alumni Council of North America (ACNA), APO-NorCal has been a trailblazer in uniting APO alumni across the continent. A standout moment came in 1990, when we hosted the historic Inter-State Conference in San Francisco—a game-changing event that shaped the ACNA's constitution, bylaws, and laid the foundation for its ongoing biennial conventions.

Fast forward to today, APO-NorCal continues to lead with passion and purpose. From annual gatherings and service projects to inter-state alumni networking and lifelong friendships, we create spaces where APO alumni thrive, give back, and grow—together.
We are APO-NorCal. Rooted in service. Fueled by community. Inspired for life.
